Leaker claims RTX 50 GPUs to launch in Q1 2025

The GeForce RTX 50 series launch is rapidly approaching, and thanks to the latest reports, we're starting to have a clearer picture of Nvidia's next-gen GPU lineup. The most recent reports we've come across tell us more about the release date for various RTX 50 SKUs and new details on the RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, RTX 5060 Ti and the GB202 GPU.

Benchlife (via VideoCardz) claims that the RTX 5090, 5090D, 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070 are all slated for a Q1 2025 release. The RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 are also expected, but their release dates remain unconfirmed. Interestingly, Benchlife suggests that the RTX 5060 might not arrive until April, while the RTX 5070 series could launch as early as February.

The leak also sheds light on the specifications of the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070. Confirming previous rumours, the RTX 5070 Ti is said to feature the GB203-300 GPU with 8,960 CUDA cores, a 300W TGP, and 16 GB of GDDR7 memory across a 256-bit memory bus. The RTX 5070, on the other hand, is now rumoured to utilise a cut-down GB203 GPU with 6,400 CUDA cores, a 250W TGP, and 12 GB of GDDR7 memory on a 192-bit memory bus. Lastly, the RTX 5060 Ti is expected to pack a GB205 GPU too, but with a 200W TGP.

Adding fuel to the fire, MEGAsizeGPU has revealed details about the GB202 GPU, presumably powering the RTX 5090. The die size is reportedly 24x31mm (744 mm²), making it slightly smaller than the Turing-era TU102 GPU, which was the largest consumer-grade NVIDIA GPU for the past decade. The GB202 package itself measures 63x56mm (3528 mm²). The Nvidia RTX 50 series is expected to be officially announced at CES 2025.
