Intel Arc A770 and A750 hitting shelves ‘very soon’, but limited in quantity

Intel representatives have recently held interviews with the press, where they shared a few more details about the upcoming A700 series graphics cards. Plenty has been discussed, however the most important detail is that we should be able to get hands-on with the new Intel graphics cards ‘very soon'.

Intel representatives Tom Petersen and Ryan Shrout were recently interviewed by Digital Foundry and PCGH, revealing interesting new details about the higher-end Arc series graphics cards. Once again, Intel has clarified that the Arc A770 won't be rivalling the Nvidia RTX 3070. Instead, it will perform somewhere between the RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti but above the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT. However, ray tracing performance is expected to stay on par with Nvidia RTX-30 series.

Moreover, it was confirmed the Arc A770 will have 16GB and 8GB variants. However, the Limited Edition A770 will only be available with 16GB. As for the A750 graphics cards, it's confirmed to have 8GB of memory. Tom Petersen also stated that Intel is working on improving support for desktops that do not support ReBAR. Even so, his recommendation is for those who have such systems to use other graphics cards.

As for the release and availability of the A700 series cards, Petersen confirmed that the A770 and A750 will release at the same time. The Limited Editions of these two will be available from Intel's website at launch. There will also be custom cards from various AIB partners, but those will be on sale through other channels. The release doesn't have an official date yet. As for availability, select countries, including Germany, will be the first markets with retail availability.

KitGuru says: After the disastrous release of the Arc A380 GPU, we hope Intel has learned a thing or two about launching new products. They will have the chance to prove that with the Arc A700 series launch.
