Gigabyte introduces triple-fan Aorus RTX 3060 Elite graphics card

Gigabyte is about to launch its Aorus RTX 3060 Elite featuring a “Neonpunk” design, a triple-fan cooler, screen cooling, and dual BIOS. This is set to be Gigabyte's fastest Aorus RTX 3060 in terms of factory overclock.

The triple-fan cooling system consists of 3x 80mm fans lubricated with graphene nano lubricant. These fans spin alternatively, but only once the GPU starts to get hotter. Featuring screen cooling, the Aorus RTX 3060 Elite's backplate allows air to pass through the extended heatsink, improving heat dissipation. Moreover, the heatsink is connected to the GPU through pure copper direct touch heat pipes, while VRAM features a metal plate contact to transfer heat to the heatsink.

As with most gaming graphics cards nowadays, the Aorus RTX 3060 Elite features RGB lighting with 16.7M colours and multiple lighting effects to choose from. Besides the RGB logo on top of the card, each fan also has an RGB Halo around it. To customise the RGB lighting, users can use RGB Fusion 2.0 to synchronise it with other compatible devices.

Measuring 296x117x56mm, this RTX 3060 card size is above average. Powered by an 8-pin power connector and a 6-pin power connector, each one has a power indicator on top of it to alert the user in case of a power abnormality. This card also features a dual BIOS switch, allowing users to choose between two modes: “silent” for quieter operation and “OC” for maximum performance.

The 12GB of GDDR6 memory of the Aorus RTX 3060 Elite comes clocked at stock settings (15Gbps), but the GPU has received the factory OC treatment, pushing its clock to 1867MHz. Unlike most RTX 3060 cards, this one recommends the use of a 650W power supply. For video output, there are 2x DisplayPorts 1.4a and 2x HDMI 2.1 ports. This card comes with a 4-year warranty.
