Four AMD RDNA 4 GPUs leak

AMD has yet to announce the discrete RDNA 4 GPUs, but leakers have been gathering some information on them. As per the latest reports, four GPU variants are on the way, with three memory configurations.

According to Kepler_L2, RDNA4 GPUs will come in three memory configurations: 20 Gbps and 256-bit, 18 Gbps and 256-bit, and 19 Gbps and 192-bit. Given the memory speeds, all are expected to use GDDR6 memory. Theoretical bandwidths for RDNA4 GPUs are estimated to range from 456 to 640 GB/s, surpassing the current-generation RX 7800 XT and RX 7900 GPUs, which only go up to 576 GB/s at stock settings.

Furthermore, Benchlife (via VideoCardz) reported that there will be four Navi 4X GPU variants: the R24D, including E6 and E8 variants (with the first believed to be Navi 48 XT), and the R25D-P8 and P4, likely to be Navi 44 models. With the cancellation of Navi 41, it's improbable that AMD will release any RX 8900 models in the next series. We can expect the top model to be something like an RX 8800(XT).

AMD's new GPU series is expected to be announced at CES 2025, with a debut expected in early 2025.

KitGuru says: While Nvidia is most likely going for GDDR7, it's underwhelming to see AMD still using GDDR6 memory. However, in the end, what matters is its performance and how much it costs, and if AMD can nail both, there will undoubtedly be a space in the market for their new GPUs.
