First AMD Radeon RX 7000 GPUs may be launching sooner than expected

It seems the RTX 4090 won't be the only graphics card launching in October. As per a new rumour, the first Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs will also release that same month, further stacking the fourth quarter of this year with another major component launch.

The rumour comes from Greymon55, who claims that in the worst case, new RDNA 3-based Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards will be out by mid-November. Considering AMD is expected to introduce the Ryzen 7000 series about two months before that and that both Intel and Nvidia are also launching new hardware in Q4 2022, the holiday season is looking quite promising for PC gamers.

Before AMD launches the new Radeon RX GPUs, Intel should have the first Arc Alchemist desktop graphics cards on the market, and Raptor Lake CPUs should also be available. As for Nvidia, current rumours indicate that we'll see the RTX 4090 in October, followed by the RTX 4080 in November.

For now, we don't know if AMD will launch high-end RX 7000 series GPUs first, or start off with mid-range GPUs. However, it is expected that we will see Navi 31 GPUs first, followed by Navi 32 and Navi 33-based GPUs.

KitGuru says: If the rumoured release dates prove to be accurate, the second half of this year will be perfect for those planning to upgrade their system. After all, it's not every year we see AMD, Intel and Nvidia launching new major products in the span of a few months.
