AMD Radeon RX 7900 GPUs tipped to release in early December

AMD announced it would host an event on November 3rd to reveal the first RDNA 3 graphics cards. However, while the announcement date is coming early in the month, actual availability will arrive later. According to one leaker, the RX 7900 series graphics cards will arrive in early December.

According to Greymon55, the first RDNA 3 graphics cards were supposed to release in late November, but the release has been delayed by a week. That means we will get them in early December instead, someday between the 1st and the 5th. However, it's unclear what RDNA 3 graphics card (or cards) will release in this period. Currently, the rumour mill points to AMD announcing the Radeon RX 7900 XT and the RX 7900 XTX. As of now, it's unclear if these cards will release simultaneously.

The Radeon RX 7900 XT is said to pack a Navi 31 XT GPU with 10,752 stream processors, accompanied by 20GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 20Gbps across a 320-bit memory bus. On the other hand, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX would come with a Navi 31 XT GPU with 12,288 stream processors and 24GB of GDDR6 running at 20Gbps on a 384-bit memory bus.

These two cards will be AMD's top-end consumer graphics cards for RDNA 3. Whether or not they'll match up well against Nvidia's newly launched RTX 4090 and upcoming RTX 4080 graphics cards remains to be seen. Pricing will play an important role though, especially after the gen-on-gen price increase we've seen with Nvidia's new RTX 40 series.
