Zotac RTX 4070 Super Trinity Black Edition Review

The Zotac RTX 4070 Super Trinity Black Edition ships in a dark box, with a partially obscured image of the graphics card visible on the front. On the back, the company highlights four key features of the design.

Inside, we find a few accessories – three different quick-start guides and general documentation, as well as a sticker set. Then there's the dual 8-pin to 12VHPWR adapter, and even a small GPU support bracket, designed to remove strain from the PCIe slot and avoid any GPU sag.

As for the card itself, the first thing I noticed is, despite being called the ‘Black Edition', the shroud is really more of a dark grey colour. It is made from plastic but I personally think it looks great, with a smooth and curvaceous design instead of any sharp angles or edges.

The three fans form part of Zotac's IceStorm 2.0 cooler design. Each fan measures approximately 90mm in diameter and come equipped with 11 fan blades.

In terms of its dimensions, the Trinity Black Edition measures in at 306.8mm x 119.4mm x 58.5mm, making it effectively a triple-slot thickness. It weighed in at 1082g on my scales.

The front side of the card is home to the Zotac Gaming logo, which is illuminated by RGB LEDs, controllable via Zotac's FireStorm software.

We also get a look at the full-length metal backplate, sporting the Zotac and GeForce RTX logos. It does run the length of the card, but with several cut-outs towards the end to allow air to pass directly through the heatsink.

Power is supplied by a single 12VHPWR/PCIe Gen5 power connector, though a dual 8-pin adapter is included in the box. Display outputs are standard, with 3x DisplayPort 1.4 and 1x HDMI 2.1 connectors.
