Low Voltage Athlons on the way

AMD recently announced new 45W desktop processors and from what we have heard today they will be released in the coming week.

The Athlon X2 245e will be clocked at 2.9ghz and is going to sell for around 75 euros and this will be followed up by a 3ghz clocked part named the 250e. They are also releasing the 3.2GHZ Athlon X2 260 with a slightly higher TDP of 65w for around the same price.

A new 45W Quad core is also in the offering called the 610e which is clocked at 2.5ghz. The retail price on this is sketchy at best but we would surmise it will be available in the 120-140 euro price range.
