Crystalmark is a useful benchmark to measure theoretical performance levels of hard drives and SSD’s. We are using V3.0 x64.

These scores are lower than I would expect from the Patriot Wildfire drive and we checked the results after fresh driver installation. The results above are from the Intel Z77 controlled ports on the motherboard. The Marvell controller delivered higher results, around 500 MB/s sequential read and 480 MB/s sequential write.

Again, the same results as above, peaking around 420 MB/s write and 360 MB/s read. The Marvell controlled ports were much faster. We would associate this with a random glitch on some level but didn't get time to reinstall the operating system from fresh.
