AMD Ryzen 3900XT, 3800XT and 3600XT now available in the UK

Last month, AMD officially announced its new 3rd Gen Ryzen ‘XT' series desktop processors, consisting of the Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 5 3600XT. Today, reviews for these CPUs officially went live and retailers were able to begin shipping out to customers, so we've had a look at the pricing and availability here in the UK.

The Ryzen XT CPUs utilise additional optimisations to the 7nm process, delivering improved single-thread performance as well as higher boost clock speeds while remaining power efficient. You can see the specifications for each 3rd Gen Ryzen XT CPU in the table below:

MODEL CORES/THREADS BOOST/ BASE FREQUENCY (GHZ) TOTAL CACHE (MB) TDP (WATTS) Platform
AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT 12/24 Up to 4.7/3.8 70 105 AM4
AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT 8/16 Up to 4.7/3.9 36 105 AM4
AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT 6/12 Up to 4.5/3.8 35 95 AM4

Starting from today, the Ryzen 9 3900XT is available and in stock at Overclockers UK, priced at £499.99. The Ryzen 7 3800XT is also in stock and ready to ship for £398.99. Finally, the Ryzen 5 3600XT is also in stock and selling for £248.99. You can read our review of the AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT and Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU HERE.

These CPUs will also be available at other retailers, so shop around as pricing may vary. This launch comes after the June launch of B550 chipset motherboards, lowering the entry level price for those looking to build a brand new 3rd Gen Ryzen PC. In August, AMD will also introduce the A520 motherboard chipset.
