Intel Core i9-13900K Review

Shadow of The Tomb Raider at 1440p

The CPU plays little part in Shadow of The Tomb Raider at 1440p however the new Core i9 steals the win by a single fps.

Shadow of The Tomb Raider at 1080p

At 1080p it is a different story in Shadow of The Tomb Raider as we see a fair degree of separation with the Ryzen 7 3D at the top followed by Zen 4 and then the new Core i9.

Watch Dogs: Legion at 1080p

As you will see in our video we included Watch Dogs: Legion at 1080p to illustrate the point that some test charts are bizarre and border on the confused. There is no way that Core i9-12900K should beat Core i9-13900K and that is doubly true for Core i7-12700K.

Borderlands 3 at 1080p

It is a similar story with Borderlands 3 at 1080p as 12th Gen beats 13th Gen by a tiny margin so while the data looks good we have to question the results. My working hypothesis is that the big 2022 H2 update to Windows 11 has thrown a spanner in the works.
