The short take on Ryzen 5 5600X3D is that it is a six-core version of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D we reviewed HERE. This means it has six cores, rather than eight, and has the enormous 96MB slab of L3 cache that gives a huge boost to gaming performance.

The twin curiosities with the Ryzen 5 5600X3D are the timing of the launch of this Zen 3 part, almost a year after the arrival of Zen 4 Ryzen 7000, and also the fact that you can only buy this CPU in-store at Micro Center in the USA.
