Watercooled Ryzen 9 7950X hits 39K Cinebench R23 points

After AMD officially announced the Ryzen 7000 series, more and more performance leaks have started to hit the web. This time around, the upcoming Ryzen 9 7950X processor has been pictured scoring close to 39K points in the Cinebench R23 multi-core benchmark, matching the official figures shared by AMD.

The benchmark result was first shared at Chiphell (via @9550pro), where the uploader states that the multi-core score of 38,984 was achieved using an AIO cooler. According to the information on the Cinebench entry, the CPU in question is an engineering sample, meaning there's a chance retail versions may score even higher.

Compared to the previous leaked scores of the Ryzen 9 7950X, this one is about 2-3K points higher. The original poster on Chiphell didn't share many details regarding the entry, so it's unclear if the chip was overclocked or what BIOS settings were used. Whoever ran this test also left out the single-core benchmark.

The AMD Ryzen 7000 series was officially revealed last week, with the release is only scheduled for September 27th.
