Recently, we got a glimpse of what seems to be the names of Intel's new gaming processors, all of which carry the Core Ultra branding. Reportedly, the new Arrow Lake-S processors will launch under the Core Ultra 200 banner, with the naming structure matching what we've already seen on the Core Ultra 100 “Meteor-Lake” mobile chips.

According to @OneRaichu, the new CPUs will abandon the ‘Core i' branding. However, Intel is retaining some familiar parts of the Intel CPU model names. One of those parts is the “K” suffix, which indicates a CPU has an unlocked multiplier, allowing it to be overclocked over its standard clock speeds.

According to the post, the K-series CPUs will be named Core Ultra (9?) 285K, Core Ultra (7?) 265K, and Core Ultra (5?) 245K. The “KF” CPUs (without iGPU) were not mentioned, but like in previous line-ups, they're expected to be released alongside the “K” SKUs. All these CPUs are expected to be branded as ‘Ultra' since they come with unlocked multipliers and are targeted towards enthusiasts.

It is also claimed that non-K CPUs (locked multiplier) will have lower model numbers, which Intel may release without the ‘Ultra' branding. These will be 275(F), 255(F), and 240(F). Intel Arrow Lake-S desktop chips require new motherboards with the LGA-1851 socket and a new chipset. The new K-series CPUs should be released later this year, while the non-K ones are expected to come out in early 2025.
