Intel Core Ultra 5 235 leak shows 5GHz clock speed

The initial lineup of the Core Ultra 200 series won't include the 65W TDP SKUs. These processors are most likely launching in early 2025, but someone already got hold of a sample and tested it on Geekbench. This sample is of the Core Ultra 5 235, which is seen clocking up to 5.0GHz during testing.

The entry shared by Benchleaks shows this CPU has 14 cores, of which six are Lion Cove P-cores, and eight are Skymont E-cores. During the test, the CPU clocked as high as 4987MHz, so it's reasonable to assume a boost clock speed of 5.0GHz. The test was made on a Lenovo ThinkCenter PCBG1 with 16GB of memory.

Based on the data that has leaked so far, the Core Ultra 235 will likely succeed the Core i5-14500. Compared to it, it was about 3% faster in single-thread performance and equally as fast in multi-thread performance, despite the Core Ultra 235 processor lacking Hyperthreading.

The Core Ultra 235 and remaining Core Ultra 200 non-K CPUs are expected to be announced at CES 2025.
