Intel Core Ultra 200K launch reportedly pushed back by one week

Intel's Arrow Lake-S release schedule might be facing a delay. Rumours initially hinted at an October 10th debut, with a release coming a week later on October 17th. However, fresh reports suggest the launch has been delayed by a week, pushing it to October 24th.

According to HKEPC (via VideoCardz), various motherboard manufacturers have corroborated this information, so those planning to get an Intel Core Ultra 200K series CPU at launch might have to wait an extra week.

The initial lineup is anticipated to feature five models, including the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K and 265KF, and the Core Ultra 5 245K and KF. Although specific details about these SKUs and the underlying architecture are yet to be unveiled by Intel, most reports claim that these processors will feature Lion Cove P-Cores and Skymont E-Cores.

Interestingly, despite sharing the same package size as the current line-up of desktop CPUs, the new processors will not be compatible with current motherboards. Instead, they are set to use a new socket, LGA-1851. The new motherboards using this socket should be released alongside the Arrow Lake-S processors.
