Intel Core i9-14900K engineering sample shown hitting 6GHz

The next Core i9-14900K CPU, which will be part of Intel's Raptor Lake Refresh portfolio, will have the same core count as the Core i9-13900K, with 24 cores made up of 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores. However, there is a noticeable increase in clock speed, as seen in recently leaked CPU-Z screenshots.

The Core i9-14900K can push up to 6.0GHz according to screenshots posted by @wnxod (via VideoCardz), which show an i9-14900K engineering sample being tested. Furthermore, the leak validates the processor's 125W TDP standard and the need for 1.385V voltage to accomplish this clock speed.

The single-core CPU-Z score for the Core i9-14900K processor was 978, while the multi-core score was 18117.5. When compared to the Core i9-13900K, the 14900K CPU seems to be 8.4% faster in the single-core test and 9.0% faster in the multi-core benchmark. Going back another generation and comparing it to the Core i9-12900K, we see a 19.9% uplift in the single-core result and 59.5% in the multi-core test.

Rumour has it that Intel is planning to unveil its 14th Gen Core K-series CPUs at the upcoming Innovation event later this month. The release should be in October or November.
