Intel Core i7-14700HX mobile CPU spotted over at PugetBench

Intel recently launched its new Raptor Lake-S CPUs for desktops. While the company is gearing up to launch its mobile platform Meteor Lake in December, it is also working on high-end gaming “HX” laptop chips based on Raptor Lake Refresh. A recent leak from the PugetBench website revealed a new Raptor Lake mobile chip running on a BGA test platform.

According to the listing shared by @momomo_us, the test platform was equipped with a Core i7-14700HX CPU and 64GB of DDR5-4800 RAM. Surprisingly, it was equipped with an Intel Arc A570M mobile GPU. While most Core-HX variants are expected to come with high-end GeForce RTX 40 graphics cards, it's possible that this mid-range Arc Alchemist GPU was only used for testing purposes.

The same leaker who shared the entry had previously verified the existence of at least two other Core-HX models: the Core i9-14900HX and the Core i5-14650HX. These three models are the only ones we currently have information about.

The new Core-HX models are expected to offer faster clock speeds than their predecessors while maintaining the same architecture and features, including DDR5 memory and PCIe Gen5 support. Additionally, the baseline TDP is expected to be 55W, but the processor will probably be able to consume over +150W during peak loads.

KitGuru says: With AMD also planning to launch more HX processors, the high-end laptop market will soon get plenty of new CPU options.
