Intel 13th Gen Core ‘Raptor Lake’ processors to launch in late September

AMD just announced the Ryzen 7000 series and it looks like competition from Intel won't be far behind. Intel has yet to confirm its launch plans, but according to reports this week, the company is planning to reveal its 13th Gen ‘Raptor Lake' desktop processors in late September, followed by retail availability in October.

The photo shared by @wxnod (via VideoCardz) shows the next generation of Intel processors will be unveiled on September 28th. However, note that the timezone used in the roadmap is TST, which is GMT+8. That means the announcement will likely occur on September 27th for the UK. September 27th is the first day of the Intel Innovation event. The leaked schedule also seems to confirm that the flagship Core i9 processor will be swiftly made available for pre-order.

A couple of weeks after the event, on the 12th/13th of October, pre-orders for Raptor Lake Core i5 and Core i7 K-series processors shouldgo live. They will then begin shipping a week later on the 20th of October.

The first batch of 13th Gen Core chips should only include the Core K-series CPUs: i9-13900K, i7-13700K and i5-13600K. There's no mention of any KF processors in the roadmap, so it's unclear if those versions will launch at the same time.
