Apple M4 outperforms Core Ultra 9 288V and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 in Cinebench

The performance of Apple's M4 SoC in the upcoming 14-inch MacBook Pro looks quite promising, especially after looking at the recently leaked Cinebench 2024 scores. The M4 SoC has already been used on the latest iPad, but coupled with active cooling, it's only expected to perform even better. The video confirms that was the case, outperforming its Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm counterparts by up to 62%.

A YouTuber named Romancev768 (via Notebookcheck) released a video featuring a Cinebench 2024 run on the M4 MacBook Pro, revealing a single-core score of 174 and a multi-core score of 971. These scores represent a significant performance leap compared to the M3, with a 20% increase in single-core performance and a remarkable 37% jump in multi-core performance.

Compared to its competitors, the M4 in the 14-inch MacBook Pro demonstrates a clear performance advantage. When pitted against the lower-power Intel's Core Ultra 9 288V, the M4 outperforms it by 42% in single-core and 62% in multi-core performance. Similarly, the more power-hungry AMD Ryzen 9 AI HX 370 falls behind the M4 by 33% in single-core performance while offering similar multi-core performance.

Rumours suggest that Apple may unveil these models at a launch event on November 1st, meaning we won't have to wait long to confirm its performance.
