AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro desktop processors are now available worldwide

AMD has officially released the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3000WX processors worldwide. Aimed at workstations, the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3000WX series offers  up to 64 cores, 128 threads, PCIe 4.0 support, 8x channels of memory, and the AMD Pro Security feature set.

The Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3000WX series consists of four models: the Ryzen Threadripper 3945WX, the Ryzen Threadripper 3955WX, the Ryzen Threadripper 3975WX, and the Ryzen Threadripper 3995WX. Based on the 7nm process node, the new generation of Ryzen Threadripper Pro processors supports 128 PCIe 4.0 lanes, allowing users to pair it up with multiple PCIe 4.0-compatible GPUs and storage devices.

Ideally used by professional content creators, these processors “rival competing dual socket solutions” due to their core-count and impressive single-core performance. Moreover, AMD Security Pro technologies enhance the system security through AMD Secure Processor, used to secure the processing and storage of data and applications, and AMD Memory Guard, a real-time memory encryption feature to protect against physical attacks.

The following table details the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3000WX SKUs:

Processor Cores/Threads Base/Boost Clocks Total Cache (L2+L3) Memory TDP
Ryzen Threadripper 3945WX 12/24 4.0/4.3GHz 288MB 8-channel DDR4-3200 280W
Ryzen Threadripper 3955WX 16/32 3.9/4.3GHz 144MB 8-channel DDR4-3200 280W
Ryzen Threadripper 3975WX 32/64 3.5/4.2GHz 72MB 8-channel DDR4-3200 280W
Ryzen Threadripper 3995WX 64/128 2.7/4.2GHz 70MB 8-channel DDR4-3200 280W

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3000WX processors are available now, starting at £1049.99 for the Ryzen Threadripper 3955WX, £2499.98 for the Ryzen Threadripper 3975WX, and £4999.99 for the Ryzen Threadripper 3995WX. The Ryzen Threadripper 3945WX isn't available yet.
