Coolit informed us yesterday that they have a large scale competition starting on the 4th August. The concept behind this is to find a use for your old heatsink.
Users simply have to take video footage of uses for an old air cooler which they are no longer using.
“We are often asked by our customers what they should do with their old air coolers now that they have switched over to CoolIT Advanced Liquid Cooling units. We wanted to come up with a fun way to deal with this question, and this contest is perfect for it”. Says Geoff Lyon, President & CEO of CoolIT Systems.

Hi there. Susan here with CoolIT Systems. I’m sorry to hear you had problems with your Domino ALC. Unfortunately we had one lot come off the production line that had some problems with leaking. We resolved the problem right away by fixing the faulty components that were causing the leaks, and receiving broken Dominos back through our customer service support line. Despite this initial blunder, the Domino ended up being a very successful product that cooled exceptionally well. We would be happy to send you a replacement unit for your faulty Domino with an upgrade to one of our newer products. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with our support center to see how we can help you out (http://www.coolitsystems.com/index.php/en/support.html).
Thanks!

Thats a great bit of customer relations Susan 🙂 I never owned a Coolit product, I opted for the Corsair H50, but its nice to see active staffing liasing with the public. Thanks.
Thanks Susan, this happened a while ago and there were threads on many forums. Coolit didn’t help us then and its a little late now for me to even contemplate coming back. I just binned all the hardware after joining in many threads to get fried components replaced.
I appreciate you doing this publically, but Coolit have had some serious issues in the past with their products and I think publicly the high end enthusiast audience have had enough 🙂

Thanks for your reply Luke Sywalker. I understand your position. It’s difficult to return to a brand when you’ve had a rough experience with them. We lost some customers due to the Domino incident and have since been making it up to them by producing exceptionally built products based on feedback received from people such as yourself. For example, we received some feedback on the fact that the Domino screen orientation was positioned for the unit to only be installed upright in the chassis. This meant that installing the unit in any other orientation would result in having to read the screen upside down, sideways, etc. As a result of this feedback we added screen orientations to the Vantage ALC so you can install it in any location within the chassis and still read the screen upright. Of course, we also listened to feedback on build quality and offer high quality products that have safe-guards to prevent leaks and other incidents. In fact, the Vantage is designed to protect your CPU and computer by warning you of problems before they occur. We’re always listening to our publics and appreciate all input.
I’m not going to ask you to go against your principles and purchase our products. If you are interested in giving us a try free of charge we would be happy to send you a liquid cooler to use. Of course you are under no obligation to do so and we will always respect the opinions of our market.
Thanks for your comments and your time!
