Evercool HPL-815 Low Profile CPU Cooler

Today we are going to look at a CPU cooler from Evercool, their latest low profile solution, the HPL-815. The HPL-815 should fit well in the HTPC market. The fan used on this cooler is a mere 15mm thick and spins between 1,000 and 4,000 RPM. When spinning at 2,200 RPM it is rated at less than 20 dBA which should be ideal for a low noise media center build.

The HPL-815 body is made up of 46 rows of aluminum fins and 4 direct touch heatpipes designed to deliver optimal performance. We will be testing the HPL-815 today on an AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition which is clocked @ 3.2 GHz.
