Antec Mercury RGB 240 Review

Temperatures

All temperature charts are sorted with lowest load temperatures at the top.

With our CPU at 4GHz, the cooler performs essentially on par with the Gamer Storm Captain 240 EX. The idle temperatures are a little warmer than some other competitors, though.

Moving onto our 4.5GHz testing, the results here are pretty similar to what we saw at 4GHz – the Mercury RGB 240 sits between the Captain 240 EX and Antec's own Kuhler H20 K240.

At 5GHz, the performance isn’t great however, with the Mercury RGB 240 sitting just above a number of air coolers. Even SilverStone's TD02-RGB outperforms it, despite that being a £60 AIO.

Noise levels

Noise levels under full load were only a bit louder than the Antec Kuhler H20 K240, which does feature the same fan design. The audible noise was noticeable from around 5 to 6 feet away, but was not particularly irritating.
