Thermalright details new Frost Vortex 140 SE dual-tower heatsink

Thermalright keeps launching more CPU coolers. The latest addition to its lineup is the Frost Vortex 140 SE, a dual-tower CPU air cooler rated for 280 W of heat with a 120 mm fan in the front and a 140 mm one in the middle.

Measuring 140x109x158 mm (LxWxH), the Frost Vortex 140 SE is a CPU cooler suitable for typical ATX configurations. With an odd heatpipe configuration, it features 6x 6mm heatpipes and an 8mm heatpipe at the centre. These heat pipes are linked to a dual-tower heatsink on one end and a C1100 pure copper nickel-plated base on the other.

The front TL-T12 Pro 120mm fan is 25 mm thick and features an S-FDB V2 bearing. It can spin up to 1650 RPM, generating up to 78.6 CFM of air with a 2.24 mmH2O pressure at a rated noise level of 27.2 dB(A). The middle fan is a TL-D14X-28, which, as the name suggests, is 28 mm thick. Capable of spinning up to 1650 RPM, this fan can generate 90.4 CFM with a 2.79 mmH2O at 29 dB(A).

The cooler is compatible with AMD AM4 and AM5 sockets and Intel LGA115X/1200/1700/1851/2011/2066 sockets. The cooler is already available in a few retailers for about €70.

KitGuru says: With this spec sheet, the Frost Vortex 140 SE could well be Thermalright's most capable CPU cooler. However, considering how often the brand is launching new coolers, it shouldn't take long before a better one shows up.
