EK reveals cheaper all-black Nucleus AIO CPU cooler

With the intent of creating more affordable options for customers to cool their CPUs efficiently, EK has added a new EK-Nucleus AIO to its portfolio. The new Nucleus AIO Dark drops some of the aesthetic upgrades of EK's higher-end coolers while retaining everything needed for high performance.

The new Nucleus AIO Dark lacks the standard model's aluminium shroud across the radiator and the cover over the end tanks that conceals the radiator's connections. Thanks to these cost-cutting efforts, EK was able to provide a more affordable performance-oriented AIO solution.

These AIOs are available as 240mm and 360mm models. The AIO comes with 120mm FPT (Full Pressure Technology) fans that make contact with the radiator, sealing them off while maintaining static air pressure. To decrease vibration transmission to the rest of the PC, EK decided to add rubber covers on both sides of the fan.

Getting into specifics, the coldplate is composed of copper and the tubing is made of strengthened rubber covered in nylon mesh and with aluminium caps on the tops. Because of the improved fitting locations, the rubber tubing can be installed and adjusted easily, making this Nucleus AIO suited for even the smallest of areas.

This AIO comes with a handy kit, including all the necessary mounting screws, thermal paste, tools, and stand-offs you may need to mount. Like other EK Nucleus AIOs, the Nucleus AIO Dark has a rotating pump top, additional fitment locations, and the ability to daisy chain the fans. Moreover, it's compatible with the latest Intel and AMD sockets. The EK-Nucleus AIO CR240 and CR360 are now available to pre-order for €129.90 and €169.90, respectively. The first units should arrive with customers starting on the 6th of April.

KitGuru says: The EK-Nucleus AIO Dark is still expensive compared to some other AIO coolers (ex: Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 series). However, if we only compare it with other products from the company, it's by far the cheapest AIO solution EK has.
