Corsair’s new Hydro X CPU water blocks support Intel Alder Lake

Like EK, Corsair has also announced new CPU water blocks for Intel Alder Lake CPUs. As part of Corsair's Hydro X series, the new XC5 RGB Pro and XC7 RGB Pro water blocks will come with RGB lighting and support for Intel LGA1700, as well as older Intel and AMD sockets.

Featuring over 110 efficient micro-cooling fins and a quad-split flow design with various inlets, the new Corsair XC Pro blocks were designed to excel at cooling your CPU, offering a 4°C drop compared to the previous generation. The cold plate is precision-machined out of copper, and the G1/4″ threads are reinforced for enhanced durability.

The XC5 RGB Pro is the entry-level block, available exclusively in black with a minimalist solid top over the block. However, there are 16x RGB LEDs in 8x zones that users can synchronise using iCUE software to make it more unique. The XC5 RGB Pro includes either Intel or AMD brackets, where the former allows you to mount it on Intel LGA1700/1200/115X sockets and the latter on the AMD AM4 socket.

As for the XC7 RGB Pro, it comes in silver, white or black and features a nickel-plated copper cold plate and a transparent flow chamber, allowing you to see the coolant flowing into the block. Like the XC5 RGB Pro, there are 16x RGB LEDs in 8x zones that you may customise through iCUE software. The included brackets allow users to mount on Intel LGA1700/1200/115X and AMD AM4 sockets.
