Corsair has launched its most powerful fans yet. The new 120mm and 140mm RS Max series fans utilise an extra-thick design, making them ideal for use cases where high air pressure is essential.
Engineered with 30mm thickness and bigger fan blades, enhanced by AirGuide technology, the RS Max series offers a 20% increase in thickness over regular fans. This means it can spin at a lower speed while producing the same airflow as its thinner counterparts, reducing total fan noise.
The RS Max series fans are made of LCP (liquid crystal polymer) and have bigger blades that create higher static pressure, powering airflow past blockages and thick radiators. As such, they're suitable for custom liquid cooling configurations. The series also features Corsair Magnetic Dome bearings, dramatically reducing friction, increasing lifespan and reducing operating noise.
The RS Max series fans connect to the system via a simple 4-pin PWM connection, allowing for an accurate change of fan speeds without needing a separate controller. The series is now available in 120mm (single, two-pack, and three-pack) and 140mm (single and two-pack) diameters with a five-year warranty. The 120mm fan packs start at £37.89, and the 140mm packs are priced at £43.31.

KitGuru says: With their 30mm thickness, the Corsair RS Max 120mm fans will compete against other LCP fans like the Lian Unifan P28 and Phanteks T30. However, while these are limited to 120mm models, the RS Max series also includes 140mm LCP fans with 30mm thickness, making it one of the few fans like this currently on the market.
