be quiet! announces the new Pure Rock 2 CPU cooler

be quiet! is updating its entry-level Pure Rock CPU cooler. The new Pure Rock 2 CPU cooler will keep things simple, just like its predecessor. It will offer support for 150W TDP processors, high clearance for memory modules and comes with a Pure Wings 2 fan to cool the heatsink.

The equipped Pure Wings 2 fan is a 120mm PWM model and is known for its silent operation, rated by be quiet! at a noise level of 26.8dB at its maximum speed. The fan spins at a maximum of 1500RPM and its composed of 9x blades designed to optimise airflow and reduce noise. As proof of its durability and quality, the expected lifespan of this fan is about 80,000 hours.

Additionally, the heatsink contacts with your CPU via 4x 6mm heat pipes with aluminium caps and HDT (heat pipe direct touch) technology, which is a step forward when compared to its predecessor.

Measuring 87x121x155mm (LxWxH) and weighing 575g, the Pure Rock 2 is compatible with Intel's 1200, 2066, 1150, 1151, 1155, and 2011(-3) sockets, and AMD's AM4, and AM3(+) sockets. There will be two models available: the standard version which is aluminium/silver like its predecessors, and a fully black version too.

The be quiet! Pure Rock 2 will be available this week, backed by a 3-year warranty, starting at €39/$39/£33.99 for the standard version, and €44/$44/£38.99 for the black version. You can learn more about the Pure Rock 2 cooler HERE.
