MSI MAG CoreLiquid I360 AIO CPU Cooler Review

For a relatively cheap 360mm AIO cooler, the MSI MAG CoreLiquid I360 performs excellently in our thermal tests. Noise levels at maximum fan speed are also low which means that even when the fan speed is reduced to hit 40dBA the cooler can hold on to its thermal performance and can beat some other more expensive coolers from other vendors.

The installation process is one of the easiest I have come across in a while, the pre-installed universal upper mounting bracket and fans being pre-installed to the radiator from the factory help speed up the installation process. There are only a few parts to assemble to install the cooler on either AMD or Intel platforms, and the wiring uses standard motherboard headers all round so it's quick to install hardware and connect up cables.

There are no additional hubs to install to control fan speed and ARGB lighting effects, so that’s another time saver, and it also means there is no additional software to install either, both fan speed and ARGB effects can be configured and controlled by the BIOS and motherboard software. This keeps things simple but it means that you might not get as much control over fan speed and ARGB as you would with a hub and controller from more expensive coolers, but it worked fine for us.

It is difficult to find fault with the MSI MAG CoreLiquid I360, its quick and easy to install and has great thermal performance. The only minor gripe with it is the looks, it's not bad looking at all and has a premium feel to it but maybe the infinity mirror design style is looking a little dated now and the RGB lighting effects with just a single zone of lighting on the fans is relatively basic. However, the RGB on the fans is quite bright and well diffused so I won’t complain too much. A couple more years on the warranty would be nice though.

It's priced reasonably effectively too, at around £130 it's not expensive compared with some offerings from rival vendors, but the likes of Montech and Thermalright and a few others offer 360mm AIOs with similar levels of performance and build quality for a little cheaper. That said, if you want great performance at lower noise output and have an MSI theme to your system this might be the AIO for you because performance and noise levels are top notch.

The MSI MAG CoreLiquid I360 is available to purchase from Overclockers UK priced at £129.95 HERE.
