Cooler Master ships the MasterLiquid 360 ION in a cardboard box with an outer card sleeve showing the product name and image of the CPU block on the front with key features and specifications listed on the back. Inside everything is sorted into individual compartments and labelled which is tidy looking.

The cooler comes with three Cooler Master Mobius 120P ARGB fans pre-installed to the radiator. Mobius 120P ARGB fans have a PWM speed range of up to 2400RPM with zero RPM mode, maximum airflow of 75.2CFM, maximum static pressure of 3.63 mmH2O and feature a loop dynamic bearing.

Mobius 120P ARGB fans are equipped with standard 4-pin PWM connectors and 3-pin 5V ARGB header connections. ARGB lighting effects are quite bright but there is some light bleed from around the LEDs on the fan hubs, which could be diffused a little better to improve aesthetics but are otherwise OK.

The 360 ION radiator is designed in-house by Cooler Master, it's an aluminium radiator with dimensions of 394 x 119.6 x 27.2 mm. The black coating has a mild textured feel, at the radiator side the tubing is fixed in position and there is a premium braided sleeving covering the tubing.

At the CPU block the tubing enters via two 90° rotary fittings, the side of the pump housing has a rubberised feel to it and on top of the CPU block is a glossy clear plastic cover with a 2.1-inch LCD and RGB illumination beneath the cover.

There are several labels and protective stickers on the side and base of the CPU block, the side label suggests to “remove and grease on” which implies that the user needs to apply thermal compound. However I don’t like the term “grease on” as it is misleading as thermal compound isn’t grease. The micro-skived copper cold plate has a template sticker for applying the thermal compound.

Along with the cooler and fans, included with the 360 ION is mounting hardware for Intel and AMD CPU sockets and an accessories pack containing screws to mount the radiator in your case, a tube of thermal compound, a warranty booklet in several languages, QR code to the digital installation manual and clips for the tubing and ARGB connections to neaten the installation.
