Cooler Master’s Master Box Lite 5 is a budget case for high-end components

Cooler Master is adding a new member to its family of cases today with the launch of the MasterBox Lite 5. This is an ATX mid-tower chassis featuring a ‘DarkMirror' front panel to help class up the front of your case.

This is more of a straightforward, mainstream case for anyone looking to throw together a high-end rig without doing anything too crazy. The case is armed with a PSU cover to hide those cables, four 120mm fans for cooling and space in the front and rear for liquid cooling radiators.

There is room for a 400mm long graphics card, so you should be able to fit just about any GPU on the market inside. There is also an edge to edge window to showcase your build. Speaking about creating this particular case, Cooler Master Product Manager, Wei Yang explained that the goal here was to “introduce a standard and space saving case that still grants paramount characteristics”.

Essentially, the Master Box Lite 5 should help you save on space without having to scale back on high end gear. That said, there will be some limitations when it comes to liquid cooling as there is only so much room for radiators.

The Master Box Lite 5 will be available from the 5th of June at a retail price of £44.99.

KitGuru Says: Cooler Master has been coming out with plenty of expensive cases recently, so it's nice to see something more budget oriented for a change. How much do you guys usually spend on a new PC case? What do you think of the Master Box Lite at just under £45?

  1. I fulfilled a dream at the weekend and moved my PC into a Phanteks Evolv Matx Tempered Glass so i’d spend£120 now leave me alone while I gaze lovingly into it’s smoky love windows.

Now here’s a competitor for the sub £50 case market despite the glossy front panel

  3. What does budget case means? There was a “debate” on the term budget on Linustechtips. Budget doesn’t mean cheap so I think budget case is not a good term to use in the title.
