The Silverstone Alta D1 offers fully modular PC building in an understated case

At Computex 2024, Silverstone unveiled the Alta D1, a highly versatile chassis tailored for workstations, high-end desktops (HEDTs), and servers. Boasting a modular design, this full-tower case offers a range of internal configurations to suit individual needs. With the flexibility to reconfigure bays and cages, users can adapt the case to their liking, whether for additional storage, enhanced cooling, or other functionality.

Internally, the Alta D1 features a horizontal partition, with the motherboard tray in the lower section. It accommodates motherboards measuring up to 15.12 inches x 13.2 inches and features 11 expansion slots. With enough space for 191-mm-tall CPU coolers and 407-mm-long GPUs with 194 mm in width, there isn't much you can't fit within this case.

Regarding cooling, the Alta D1 comes with two 180mm intake fans and a 140mm rear exhaust, with an additional 140mm intake fan in the top compartment. In the bottom, there's space for up to 3x 120 mm fans or a 360 radiator. Lastly, the sides are where you can install most of the cooling components, with space for 6x 120 mm or 4x 140 mm fans on the left side and 3x 120 mm or 2x 140 mm fans on the right side. Alternatively, you can install 2x 360 radiators on the left and a 360 radiator on the right.

The top compartment also features bays for redundant or single PSUs and space for 5.25-inch drives. Notably, the case offers the flexibility to add a third power supply unit to the bottom portion of the front end. Priced at $799.99, the Alta D1 also offers optional wheels for $20.
