SilverStone Alta G1M is a new vertical Micro-ATX case featuring a stack effect design

Based on the FT03 case, the new SilverStone Alta G1M builds on the characteristics and qualities brought by SilverStone's vertical cases. Featuring a 90º rotated motherboard layout and a small footprint, the Alta G1M can pack high-end components and water cooling systems despite its relatively reduced size.

Included with the case, there's a 180mm Air Penetrator fan installed at the bottom pushing air upwards. Thanks to this design, the bottom-to-top directional airflow stacks with rising hot air, improving cooling inside the case. Besides the bottom and top meshed panels, the front, rear and right side panels also feature a mesh design.

The motherboard's I/O panel is pointed upwards, allowing users to install the GPU vertically for increased compatibility. When using a CPU tower cooler, it will also have to be mounted vertically, benefitting from the bottom-to-top airflow design of the case.

The Alta G1M supports Micro-ATX and Mini ITX motherboards, 355mm long GPUs, 159mm tall CPU coolers (with no side fans or radiators), and 130mm long SFX-L PSUs. There are also 4x 2.5/3.5-inch drive bays, 4x expansion slots and a front I/O panel with a USB-C port, 2x USB-A 3.0 ports, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.

On the right side of the chassis, there's a bracket supporting up to 360mm radiators. Moreover, there's space to mount 2x 120mm fans on the front panel and another 3x 120mm fans on the rear panel, but only if you don't install any 2.5/3.5-inch drives. The SilverStone Alta G1M is expected to release later this year.

KitGuru says: At first glance, the SilverStone Alta G1M looks pretty interesting for someone looking for a small case.
