Asus launches new ProArt PC case and AIO liquid cooler

The Asus ProArt range used to consist primarily of colour-calibrated monitors but the company has been expanding it in recent years. Now, the ProArt series also includes cases and coolers for the first time. The new LC420 AIO ships with Noctua Industrial PPC fans, offering a stealthy all-black look for workstations. The PA602 chassis is similarly styled.

The ProArt LC 420 is among the few 420mm AIO coolers available today. The cooler produces airflow silently thanks to three Noctua NF-A14 industrial PWM 140mm radiator fans. Its three-phase motor pump ensures consistent heat transmission to the radiator. In contrast, its radiator is thicker than typical, allowing for more coolant and reducing the workload on the fans and motor. The ProArt LC 420 also comes with 450mm of reinforced, sleeved tubing, making it durable and versatile for various configurations.

Moving on to the ProArt PA602, this case was designed to streamline the PC building experience with a full suite of features, including automatic dust detection, an integrated PWM control on the front I/O panel power lock latch, and a plethora of easily accessible USB ports.

The ProArt PA602 chassis should provide good cooling, starting with an open-grille front panel with large 15.5mm venting holes with 45% porosity and two pre-installed 200mm ProArt front fans. The fans are thicker than standard 120mm or 140mm ones and can circulate a comparable amount of air. These robust, large-bladed spinners are 38mm thick and feature a 300–1000 RPM range with PWM control. They have an airflow rating of up to 190.2 CFM, roughly twice that of standard 200mm system fans. A 140mm fan positioned at the back of the ProArt PA602 chassis helps to expel heat.

Dual air deflectors within the chassis assist in direct cooling where required. A large panel along the front edge of the motherboard tray nudges the airstream over the top edge of the motherboard, reducing turbulence. In addition, the PSU shroud has an angled front edge to guide airflow towards the graphics card.

The ProArt PA602 chassis is designed to accommodate E-ATX motherboards (12×10.9 inches), providing ample space for hefty components. The chassis has a maximum CPU cooler height of 190mm, but for those considering liquid cooling, the top panel can accommodate radiators up to 420mm. The spacious interior of the ProArt PA602 allows customers to add many drives, including four 3.5-inch drives and up to eight 2.5-inch drives. Other nice additions to the PA620 are the single unified header to simplify connecting the front panel I/O to the motherboard, easy-to-remove side panels, and Asus' new method for inserting PCIe add-in devices (ex: graphics cards) without needing a screwdriver.
