Lian Li announce the Lancool II case

Lian Li has announced an update to its Lancool chassis series. The Lian Li Lancool II is a revised and improved version of the original Lancool One. The new case is available in either black or white and is packed with features to improve the PC building experience.

Easy access to all component parts is essential when building a PC system. Lian Li realise this and has designed the Lancool II with features that assist the process. The Lancool II includes a hinged tempered glass side panel and two magnetic steel shroud panels to eliminate the need for screws. The two shroud panels enable easy access into the power supply area to manage cables without having to remove additional panels.

The Lian Li Lancool II offers further cable management features with a removable cable management bar located next to the motherboard tray and various cable cut-outs can be found above the motherboard tray and on top of the PSU shroud, for easy cable routing. Once cables are installed, two cover plates almost completely hide all the wires to provide a tidy looking installation.

The Lancool II is not only about cable management, it is optimised for cooling too with support for up to eight 120mm fans, a 360mm radiator at the front and a 240mm in the top should provide enough scope to cool even the most high-end hardware. Behind the front panel is a toolless mounting bracket with adjustable positioning to accommodate thick radiators, while magnetic dust filters are located at the top of the case and the front panel with a pull-out dust filter tray positioned on the bottom of the chassis.

Additionally, in the front panel of the Lancool II is an RGB lighting zone with eight modes of illumination and effects that can be cycled through, a quick connect adaptor integrated into the front panel means removal of the panel is simple, with no wire to disconnect. Included in the front panel is the I/O that comprises of USB ports, audio jacks, power button and an RGB control switch.

Optional items available for the Lian Li Lancool II include a vertical GPU mounting bracket. For users who prefer traditional horizontal mounting, Lian Li provides an anti-sag bracket too. Further optional extras include a custom Side Diffused LED strip for the front panel, a Hot-swappable backplate for the HDD cage and integration for USB 3.1 Type-C via an adaptor.

The Lian Li Lancool II is available for pre-order now with an MSRP of $89.99 for the black version and $94.99 for the white. For more information on the Lain Li Lancool II, see the official product page.

When Intel launched Lunar Lake (Core Ultra 200V) in 2024 we gave you the technical details and followed up with a review of the Asus Zenbook S 14 which has incredible battery life. In the following month we discussed Intel Arrow Lake (Core Ultra 200S) and how we considered it was unfit for review in a situation that was not resolved until February 2025. On the one hand we have Lunar Lake which we like, while on the other hand we have Arrow Lake which is troubled, yet both families of processors run on Lion Cove P-cores and Skymont E-cores and have a huge amount in common.
