Cooler Master Silencio 650 Review

To gain access inside the case,  Cooler Master have opted to use a standard 2×2 thumb screw system at the rear of the case. The side panels themselves feel very robust and have a high quality feel with minimal flexing.

The case is all black inside typical of many quality branded cases available today.

There are several cable routing holes which help to ensure a clean system build.

In addition to the cable routing holes, the most noticeable facet about this case is the sound dampening material. This is a prominent material featured throughout the case design. It can be found on the inside of the case door, inside the roof and on both side panels. Ultimately this helps to reduce noise emissions.

Storage drives can be installed quickly as the case uses a tool less bracket system for mounting. The brackets are provided separately to the case and are mounted one-at-a-time to each hard drive, which can then be slotted into the HDD caddy. They feature a design that fits both 3.5″ and 2.5″ drives as the mount itself has 4 small holes which can be used for securing the unit. Standard 3.5″ drives are mounted by the popular side locking clips found in each corner of the mount.

Located just above the drive bays is a PCB which features a SATA power and SATA data connector. This is an easy access swappable drive bay, they can be added using a small slot at the front of the case.

The final system build can look extremely tidy if you spend some time carefully routing the cables. It is a great case to build inside thanks to plenty of attention to detail from the Cooler Master development team. One of the images above highlights the top rear positioned exhaust sliding cover.
