E-Ink technology reports huge growth in September

KitGuru loves E-Ink technology, we have already covered several E-Ink devices in the past, looking at the Sony PRS 600 Reader and The Amazon Kindle 3. Latest news in from Taipei shows that E Ink Holdings have had a 42.35% revenue increase on this time last year.

E-Ink Technology has been thriving in 2010 as more and more people are finding that backlit technology is not a great platform for reading electronic books. With month long battery life, it is also a great way to enjoy the latest books on your holidays without the need for constant recharging or dealing with reflectivity in sunlight.

Amazon's Kindle 3 - leading the E-Ink growth

EIH generated around $69 million in September which is a very healthy income indeed for medium sized panel manufacturer. EIH suffered a slightly lower than expected revenue growth, however this is due to recent price drops rather than low sales. With the latest news of E-Ink combining with LCD technology we can see many exciting new devices planned for the future.

    I Finally had a hands on with the Kindle 3 at the weekend to check out the new pearl display. man is that an impressive screen !
