Lian Li launches new and improved V2 UNI FANs

Lian-Li's UNI FAN is back in new and improved form. The new Uni Fan AL V2 version is launching this week, promising even better airflow performance and improved design elements. Beyond that, Lian Li is also launching its new Strimer Plus V2 12VHPWR connector for those looking to make the jump to a high-end RTX 40 series graphics card.

The UNI FAN AL V2 introduces corner lighting which is visible from the front, rear, and side of the fan. Using LIAN LI’s lighting software L-Connect 3, each corner and blade rim LED can be individually controlled for limitless lighting combinations. The AL V2 also features enhanced performance thanks to its thicker frame size of 28mm. The extra thickness and faster 2000RPM fan speeds leads to 20 percent improved airflow performance compared to the V1.

Compared to the V1, the V2 also simplifies setup and installation by moving to a single-cable design, cutting down on clutter. A new extension cable allows you to link up to six UNI FANs with a single controller port, and the V2 fans also have a removable interlocking key, improving compatibility with liquid cooling radiators.

Alongside the V2 UNI FANs, Lian Li is also launching its Strimer Plus V2 12VHPWR adapter cable, allowing users to use 12+4pin, or three 8pin PCIe connectors into a single 12VHPWR connector. While RTX 40 graphics cards ship with a 12VHPWR adapter included, early adopters faced some issues and as a result, some upgraders prefer a third-party cable, as it is cheaper than buying a brand new ATX 3.0 compliant power supply.

The UNI FAN AL V2 will be available in 120mm and 140mm versions, priced at £26.99 or £29.99 per fan. If you want the full triple pack, it'll cost you £79.99. The Strimer Plus V2 12VHPWR adapter will be available for $49.99 for the 12+4pin or 3x8pin versions with eight light guides, or $59.99 for the 12+4pin to 12+4pin version with 12 light guides.

KitGuru Says: The UNI FANs continue to look great. Are you planning on adding a dash of RGB to your system with some new case fans? Will you be considering the Lian Li UNI FANs?
