Exogrip for PS5 delivers personalised controller grips for fatigue-free gaming

Game controllers are typically designed with a one size fits all approach, with ergonomics designed to fit the average person. Thanks to Exogrip, soon you'll be able to easily add your own customised grip to your controllers for a more personalised gaming experience.

Exogrip is a new company, founded by Sam Coombes, a fellow gamer who has grown sick of hand fatigue while using a controller. The Exogrip is intended to solve that very problem, with the PS5 Exogrip now available. The grip is designed to mould to the unique shape of each user's hands, offering better comfort while playing and making the DualSense controller less cumbersome to hold for hours at a time.

The PS5 Exogrip uses a patent-pending formula. The grip will be smooth at first but once heat is applied, the material becomes malleable and will mould to your hand's shape. This should make the controller more comfortable to hold for people of all hand sizes, particularly for longer gaming sessions.

You start off the process by dropping the grips in boiling water for one minute, then attach the grips to the controller and apply pressure with your hand to mould it into shape.

With the DualSense controller being larger than previous DualShock gamepads, providing this first for the PS5 controller makes plenty of sense. Speaking on the Exogrip launch, founder Samuel Coombes said: “Having been obsessed with gaming for most of my life, I noticed that the longer I spend doing it the more uncomfortable it got. Exogrip’s smart-grip solution is simple but effective and gives gamers just what they need – comfort and control, which adds up to a better gaming experience.”

The Exogrip is available now for £24.99.

KitGuru Says: Since moving to the PS5 and the new DualSense controller, hand fatigue is something I have run into pretty often, especially when playing action-oriented games like Final Fantasy 16. Would you opt for a mouldable grip like this to aid in long gaming sessions?

The launch of the new Intel Core Ultra 200S family of CPUs along with Z890 motherboards was a thorny process. KitGuru suffered along with pretty much every other review site on the planet and you may have noticed we held off from reviewing of the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K and Core Ultra 5 245K as it is clear to us that Intel has some work to do before this platform is ready for action.
