Computex 2024: Seasonic’s 2.2KW PSU, Noctua Edition Power Supply and more

Computex would not be complete without a visit with Seasonic. The renowned power supply makers are back this year with a new range, as well as a few surprises. Join Leo as we dive in to all of the new Seasonic gear.

Power supplies aren't always the most exciting component to see, but a 2.2KW power supply is certainly something to stop and take note of. As Leo says, this unit “weighs the bloomin' earth” and offers a huge amount of power at 2,200W, or 2.2KW. It is 80 Plus Platinum rated, so it should be one of the most efficient PSUs on the market.

Another eye-catcher at the Seasonic booth this year is its new Noctua Edition power supply. That's right, it is a classic Noctua brown power supply, complete with the famous brown and beige fan in the middle. It is unmistakably Noctua.

The Vertex and Focus Seasonic PSUs will soon be updated with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1, a tweak in standard. We also get a little peak at Seasonic's new OptiSink design, which will directly attach to PSUs to greatly improve cooling on future models.

Our last stop is at Seasonic's massive, liquid-cooled Threadripper PC, with four GPUs packed in side, all running on the new 2.2KW Seasonic Prime power supply.

KitGuru Says: Are you planning on upgrading to a new PC this year? Will you be considering a Seasonic power supply for it?
