Acer unveils new gaming handheld, 600Hz monitor and new CoPilot+ PCs

This week alongside IFA, Acer is showcasing its latest line-up of gaming gear. On the portable side, we have Acer's very first handheld gaming PC, the Acer Nitro Blaze 7, along with new Nitro V 14 & 16 laptops. Additionally, Acer is launching a new Predator Orion desktop system, as well as a slew of new gaming monitors.

The Predator Orion 7000 is a powerful desktop system, using the latest Intel CPUs and with RTX 40 GPU options, up to the RTX 4090. Liquid cooling is included for the CPU too, so you should be able to game for hours without temperatures becoming an issue.

If you need a monitor to go with that new desktop system, then Acer has announced its new line-up, including the new Predator XB273U F5 and XB273K V5 Monitors, as well as the Nitro XV240 F6, XV270 F5, and XV270U F5 Monitors. The Predator-branded monitors are 27-inches with up to 4K resolution and up to 360Hz refresh rates, meanwhile the Nitro line-up is catered to those with a pure need for speed, with up to 600Hz refresh rates.

The Acer Nitro Blaze 7 is one of the most interesting launches happening this week. This is Acer's take on the handheld gaming PC concept, powered by a Ryzen 7 8850HS processor, with a FHD IPS display to take immersive gaming on the go.

In recent years, Acer has also been showing off some very interesting concept designs. Previously, the company showcased its new 3D technology, which delivers 3D PC gaming without the need for glasses. Acer's latest project is the DualPlay Concept, featuring an overhauled laptop design with detachable controllers and pop-out speakers, designed for enabling co-op gaming from a laptop, with improved sound.

Naturally, with this week's announcements of the Intel Lunar Lake CPUs and the new Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus, Acer also has new Swift AI and Swift Go laptops on the way. The Swift 14 and Swift 16 AI laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra 200V processors and feature OLED displays. Meanwhile, the Swift Go 14 is powered by a Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor, which promises multi-day battery life.
