Asus ProArt Showcase (Monitors and Motherboards)

Asus sent Leo a selection of their ProArt displays and motherboards for a Showcase where we get to dig into the features and get suitably excited about colour calibration and RGB colour spaces. These ProArt products are typically aimed at professional production environments and universities rather than gamers and that makes them both exciting and exotic.

The common feature of the Asus ProArt family is an extended warranty that runs for five years instead of the usual three. The warranty is also better than usual as a replacement item can be sent out immediately, instead of waiting for the completion of the RMA process. As an added bonus you get a few months of Adobe Creative Cloud free with certain ProArt products.

ProArt Motherboards

Asus ProArt motherboards cover the latest CPU sockets and also previous generation CPUs. In our video we showed AMD AM4, AMD AM5 and also Intel LGA1700. If you feel the urge you can still buy a ProArt Z490-Creator that supports Intel LGA1200. The highlights of the specifications are dual Ethernet and support for a large number of M.2 and SATA storage. Connectivity varies from one model to another but many ProArt motherboards also support Type-C Thunderbolt 4 or USB4.

The display has a resolution of 3,840×2,160 (16:9) with 60Hz refresh and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
