Lamborghini, the car maker for teenage bedroom walls have announced their latest model will be making a world premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car is based on Lamborghini's Super Trofeo track cars.
The Squadra Corse has a 570 bhp, V10 engine and can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 3.4 seconds and the top speed is rated just shy of a license losing, straight to jail 200 mph (198mph). The company are calling this the most extreme model yet in the Gallardo line up.
The 570 moniker in the name relates directly to the horse power and the ‘4' means it is an all wheel drive car. It comes with a 6 speed paddle driven transmission and has a rear wing system in place that will generate three times the downforce of the Gallardo LP 560-4. The engine cover is removable with a quick release system in place, from the race versions of the car. All of these parts are constructed from carbon composites to reduce weight. This helps the car weight, which is only 1,340kg.
The car by default ships with Squadra Corse racing seats but these can be replaced with standard seats if the customer wants a more relaxed driving experience.
No pricing is yet in place for the car but it will be making its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
Kitguru says: A stunningly beautiful car and ideal for that bedroom wall poster.
The 570 moniker in the name does not relate engine capacity, it relates to the bhp it produces – 570 bhp. The engine is 5.2 liters.
