12 days of Xmas offers with Aria starts 12pm today

We're seeing a lot of companies poking 2 fingers up at the poor Mayans these days – and the latest double digit salute comes from British technology specialist Aria. Taking ‘ignoring the warnings of natives' to the extreme, we're being told that the 12-12-12 campaign starts at 12pm on the 12th, but what is it all about? KitGuru takes time off from human sacrifice to investigate.

We can blame Microsoft for the next 12 days of Christmas over at Aria – at least that's what the mad monks of the marketing department tell us. Eager to offer up stocking fillers, the excuse being used is ‘Anything to do with Windows 8'.

Each day, there will be a cut-throat offer. Anyone who takes part and ends up with Windows 8 (either in a system or as part of a bundle) will have their name entered into a prize draw – with the draw taking place the next morning.

Each and every day, someone will be picking up something extra with their order, random prizes include a 24″ Dell IPS monitor, nVidia GTX680 graphics card or a Corsair AXi 1200w power supply. There's even a 240GB Neutron GTX SSD in there somewhere.

Aria's 12 Days of Xmas promo is located here.

"This is my turf Aria, my turf. You goin down b*tches!" said Santa, with a Ho Ho Ho

KitGuru says: Check out the deals and, if any of the Windows 8-enabled offers grab you, then you're in with a chance for a serious bonus. Can't say fairer than that.
