The board gaming area was a little sparse when I visited this afternoon, but it is located in an entirely separate part of the expo. The atmosphere was also a strange one thanks to the difference in lighting between it and the main halls.
The retro Zone however, despite being shrouded in comparative darkness, was busy as ever, with some of the NES consoles even having the odd queue of those waiting for a chance to play.
However, if you wanted to visit the darkest, scariest, surely most dangerous part of the entire event, you'll need to pay a visit to… the food area.
I'm not quite sure why the Street Food section of i52 looks like you're entering the boss level of a zombie apocalypse game, but it does. Head here if you're after the usual fair of burgers, chips, pizza and chinese.
