Exhibition rule no.1: someone will always get in your shot
Chillblast drew in some decent visitor numbers thanks to its Oculus Rift Dk2 (which was a pain in the neck to set up apparently), but along with its usual systems, was showing off a new keyboard from i-Rocks, which while a membrane, was surprisingly nice to use for a board that's less than £30.
The latest Tomb Raider looks very pretty in 4K
Cooler Master was also running into technical issues, with its typing challenge game throwing up problems for the attending staff. While prowrestling with that though, it was also showing off a new keyboard which uses electrostatic capacitive, Topre switches. These are ungodly expensive, but Cooler Master said that the price of this one should be “under £170, but not by much,” and will be compatible with Cherry MX key caps, so if you have custom keys you can transfer them over.
They're purple too, which is… pretty I suppose
Even Enermax got in on the peripheral action, showing off its new Commander series of keyboards and headsets.
There was also a new peripheral manufacturer looking to make a name for itself here at i52, known as Tetsoro. It's relatively economical hardware includes keyboards and a variety of gaming mice.
They're certainly eye catching. Most featured a brushed aluminium shell, though this one got the most attention for its fancy paintjob
