Aria celebrates Jubilee with serious price slashing

As a one-day-only special, we've heard that Aria's sales team has taken a hatchet to a load of prices – to create ‘diamond geezer' offers – all in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee. KitGuru sups lemonade from a ‘Charlie marries Di' pint glass and checks to see if Aria's offers really do call for extra bunting.

At 9am on Friday 31st May, Aria is promising to unload eye-watering deals.

First to see these offers will be customers that venture inside the company's forums – and this thread of “Right, so what do you want us to cut the most” was already 5 pages long when we got there.

Given that we live in a world where special offers are the norm and people have said RIP to RRPs, for Aria to have flagged these deals in advance indicates some serious action. Overclockers and regular customers who like to dabble, should scan the deals after 9am and see if the hype matches the delivery.

KitGuru says: Right now, we're most keen on 480GB SSD drives under £300. The 60, 120 and 240 drives have all been smashed – so it's time for a monster to get a pounding. That said, given the Jubilee is all about '60' years – maybe 60GB drives and nVidia's GTX-5-60 will be most in trouble.
