BMW recall 569,000 vehicles

BMW announced at the weekend that they are recalling 569,000 vehicles, 504,000 of which are made in the U.S. and 65,000 in Canada.

Forbes add that BMW recalled 1.3 million cars in the 5 and 6 series in March 2012. These cars were built between 2003 and 2010.

BMW Z4 sports car - affected between 2009 and 2011

According to AP, if you are one of the 569,000 owners of “3-Series sedans, wagons, convertibles and coupes from the 2007 through 2011 model years, 1-Series coupes and convertibles from 2008 through 2012, or the Z4 sports car from 2009 through 2011,” then BMW is recalling your vehicle.

The problem is a battery cable connector which can fail and cause the engines to stall. Apparently they can degrade over time.

BMW will notify you next month and told the Associated Press that it will ‘replace the battery cable connector and secure it for free.'

Kitguru says: A lot of recalls in recent years for BMW.
