SkyDrive site revamped, Android app coming in a few weeks

Just a couple of weeks after Hotmail became Outlook with a completely revamped interface, SkyDrive has been given the same treatment in anticipation for the launch of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 later this year. [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaWw0zLT67E']

Obvious tweaks include the presence of the not Metro but “modern” interface, as well as instantaneous search, drag and drop and faster file syncing.

Furthermore, Microsoft has announced that an official SkyDrive application will be launching on Android in a few weeks. It will feature all the necessary features almost anyone would need and will directly supplement the existing Windows Phone 7 and iOS applications.
